I have a 2009 Audi A6 3.0T Avant with wood trim above the glovebox, door sills and in the center console. Is it possible to upgrade to the Sline/S6 carbon fiber or brushed aluminium trim instead? Where can I purchase? What's involved with swapping them? Thanks!

Hi you can look for the parts on the usual auction websites ;)

To swap them it's very easy but you need to be careful: you need a flat plastic object to insert under the door/dash trims and lift them out, slowly. Alternatively you could use a flat screwdriver but please use a piece of cloth to avoid scratching trims and dash.

To swap the central console you need to see the screws that hold it in place - 2 under the front ashtray, 1 beneath the rub mat under the armrest, and 4 (or 2 not sure) on the side to access which you need to take off the plastic side trims (pull seat all the way backwards, 1 screw in front and pull upwards). Considering that you need to swap the MMI controls once the console is free, I would say one hour for the first time you do it.

Detailed instructions are in Elsa, you might want to get it
