Blue smoke when in traffic or stationery

My A6 3.0Tdi has been emitting blue smoke, loads of it, when I am stationery for any length of time, say in traffic jams. It's done 127,000 miles and runs great but has this one problem. Audi now tell me that I need six new injectors (£3000) but also advised me that the oil in the engine had been overfilled (last serviced by them) - Any ideas? Some people tell me it's the turbo waste gate, others too much oil! Any comments?

If the oil had been overfilled that could cause this (and other problems too), so drain some oil out first and see if it goes away.

Audi now tell me that it is the injectors that are injecting too much diesel into the pistons. This then seeps into the sump as un-burnt diesel and causes the oil to rise! This equates to too much diesel in the pistons and the blue smoke - apparently!! Anyone any views on this? Phil

Makes sense to me, a diesel can burn just about anything including sump oil.
