The 2013 R8 may look like the same vehicle, considering Audi didn't change the design all that much since the 2006 model, but taking a look at the engine, we see a very improved car.
The few aesthetic changes changes in the LED headlights, wider front air intakes. Along the back, the R8 will have a blacked out design that runs almost the full length of the rear.
The biggest improvements, however, lay beneath the hood. The 4.2L v8 will pack a whopping 450 hp, while the 5.2L v10 will outdo that with 550 hp. The car will also host a 7-speed double clutch transmission, similar to that of the Porsche 911.

Now, Audi is making another version of the R8, called the R8 Exclusive Selection Edition. There will only be 50 models made, and they are exclusive to the United States. The horsepower and torque are the same for the this model and the other R8 models. What's different is the finish..
The R8 V8 ESE features a matte Daytona Gray paint coat with a lot of carbon fiber elements along the car. It also has the R8GT tail lights and unique contrasting interior. The cabin is lined with Crimson Red elements and a Bang & Olufsen sound system is standard. The R8 V8 ESE comes with a 6-speed manual transmission or the more expensive automatic R tronic.

I wonder how these will do, considering they are about the same as the R8 except for some aesthetics.
