Hi all, I have just bought an Audi A3 2003 8L 1.9 TDI 130 SE with factory fitted Sat Nav.(rare I've been told) It has a GPS aerial on the back with the Nav in the small middle segment of the dash, and a panel with the controls next to the handbrake, 4 buttons with a push button at the top.
Firstly can anyone tell me what this unit is called, and how it is supposed to work to set it up. Unfortunately lots of searching and I haven't come up with anything. It has the CD installed in the rear of the car, It does work and has a preset route put in it from last owner with the voice message all working. I don't have any manuals with the car so would appreciate someone giving me the lowdown on how this works properly and maybe a pdf if anyone has one.
sorry for the long post, please help, thanks.

    That's a BNS 4.0

You use the controls down by the handbrake to setup a destination. Then when the route is active the instructions appear on the DIS (between the speedo and tacho) and via voice instructions.

It's CD based and uses Bosch DX map CDs which you can get from Tele Atlas Online Shop - Tele Atlas

P.S. Might be best to post in the CD Navigation Forum in future - you'll likely get more answers there.
