Default DVD unit control by MMI

Who can give me an advise regarding DVD control by MMI.Week ago I have installed a DVD player, video interface and additional AUX input to have sound throught the speakers.DVD player is controled by remote control, but after instalation the 7th disc description shows, that DVD unit can be controlled by MMI also.(see attached foto)The sound master from company who install these tools says that when needed wire was connected nothing was controlled by this (althought all functions - on;of;usb angle,track+;track- up and down are shown on the 7th disc menu on MMI)
Would it be helpfull if I update sw from 3460 to 4220?
Is it a risk to lose some functionalities of BT telephone functions (motorola handset in armrest) or car section items? Can I have the both controls(by remote and by MMI)?

Thanks for support

Who made the video interface? Doesn't look OEM to me.

Did you read the RNS-E DVD Navigation Plus Quick Links?

And what DVD changer do you use? Is it controlled by this interface or by audio/in interface? There are a lot of chinese interface similar to yours but I do not get an idea what kind of dvd changers they control.

I use AMPIRE Dvx-100 DVD player.On/off function;AV1;AV2;AV3 video inputs are controlled by NAV button.Other functions-by DVD remote control.DVD Audio signal is activated by CD/TV button, selecting 7th virtual disc(after this above mentioned menu is shown)
