So you mean if it works it was a real bargain at 29,90 € ;) Really interesting to see what will happen when I connect it to MMI 2G in my A8 - probbably nothing at all. But I think MOST in 2G MMI is prepared for DVD although as far as I understand a DVD player was never officially released.

Yeah, sorry about that. I got my data scrambled with some other information (that I actually got from you), but there was some short-cut in my brain, and I just started to ramble about something that I know nothing about.

But Darek70 seems to be on the right track. Found it in the parts-catalogue as well, and all the connectors seem to be in the right place. But as it seems, it is not for the RSE-system (in A8 ), even though it has the 2 extra Fakra-connectors. PR-code is 9WC=Without "Multimedia" in vehicle. Perhaps it is prepared to be used in RSE-systems for other Audi-models.
From what it also seems, the new A8 uses the 3G version of MMI.

I am curious to see how the DVD-changer should be connected...

You guys sure that is not from the out-going A8 RSE Plus from quattro GmbH?

I'm not confident that is a MMI 3G device from the new up-coming A8?

According to the parts-catalogue, the 4E A8 RSE-system has a "normal" aftermarket Blaupunkt DVD-changer DVC-03 (older) or DVC-07 (newer).

4E RSE system:

^ Thank you sir for that informative post!

Clearly your information was right and my speculation wrong.

I wonder where that DVD changer is in the 4H? Rear or replacing the front system?

There is still (different variants of) a MMI 3G headunit placed on the dash-board, in the new 4H A8. This (new) DVD-changer discussed in this thread, is placed in the glove compartment.

Got the unit today - have not had time to play with it so much, just connected power and MOST. It is not showing in the Source list when I press the CD/TV button. Part number seems to be 4E0035108 - when i run autoscan in VCDS it says that it cannot be reached - but when i open it opens it - there are no adapttion channels and no coding - the only buttons active in VCDS are Fault Codes, Supp. Codes, Advanced ID and Security Access... I'm gonna try connecting it to a car with MMI3G and see if I get better results.
