I have a 2008 audi A5 and I love it. I've put on about 25k miles and the tires are in good condition but make alot of road noise when I'm going 60 mph and above. They also aren't that great in the snow but amazing in the rain. They are Pirelli P6, the original ones. I've been looking for other tires that may fit well with my A5. Can anyone give me some suggestions on other tires that they've used? Thank you and I appreciate any help.

Senner Tuning Audi A5 Cabriolet - Click above for high-res image gallery

Audi's full-bore RS5 treatment may only be available in coupe form, but that doesn't mean droptop enthusiasts can't join in on some of the fun. Senner AG, a company known for its Audi upgrades, now offers its RS design package for the A5 Cabriolet, and while it doesn't boast the outrageous power numbers of the RS5, it certainly has the look, with a couple of eccentric one-off touches, to boot.

Starting with an A5 2.0T Cabriolet, Senner has bumped engine output from 211 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque up to a more palatable 275 hp and 317 lb-ft through the use of sport air filters and ECU recalibration. An all-new exhaust system has also been fitted, as well, giving the A5 a louder, angrier sound - something even the S5 Cabriolet could benefit from.

Visually, Senner has added larger front air intakes similar to those on the RS5, though the A5's foglamps have been kept intact. Filling out the wheel wells are silver-chrome 20-inch wheels, wrapped in low-profile tires (245/30 in front, 295/25 out back), and a new rear diffuser has been added to round off the host of exterior upgrades. The interior has largely been left alone, save the addition of carbon fiber trim throughout the cabin.

Senner's kit retails for a healthy €19,900 (roughly $25k USD), and when added to the €55,000 cost of a new A5 Cabriolet, that brings the whole package to €74,900, or $95,150 USD based on current exchange rates. Scroll through the gallery below to see the handsome Senner A5 from all angles, and hit the jump for the full details in the press release.

Hi there,

I just mount an RNS-E 193D (in remplacement of a 2008 CONCERT) on my Audi TT Roadster mk2 2008.

With my Vagcom 912 I have configure the CAN, the Navigation, the Radio and Telephon.

The bluetooth, the multi function steering wheel and navigation work fine but my CD changer doesnt appear in MEDIA menu.

On the VAGCOM I check several times but I have well put a 7 at the end of the Hexa code.

I'm lost, I have easily solved my Bluetooth problem but I need help for the CD Changer.

I check the CD Changer still work (eject, change or loud CD), the light are still there and I change nothing on the DIN behind the RNS-E. I have just open the DIN to change Pin 5 to Pin 7 for the BOSE soundsystem.

When I check on the Vagcom I have several error I will paste it.

If you have any idea you're welcome.

(Hope my English not so bad)

Peculiar sound problem with my RNS-E

Hello everybody,

Hello everybody,

I am experiencing a very odd problem with my RNS-E, to the point that I have started to think that my only solution is to hire an Exorcist or a Voodoo doctor to perform some sort of ritual on my car! :D

My problem is this: I have an 2002 Audi A4 1.8T and I installed an RNS-E unit on it about 4 years ago (Bose sound system). The system worked wonderfully and it is currently running with the 2009 Map DVD. About 3 months ago, the sound started cutting off completely from the unit. When I say completely, I mean both the radio as well as the navigation directions. The sound would cut off for a few minutes and then come back on, this would happen a few times and then the unit would work fine all day long.

Now here's the weird part; This would happen only in the mornings when I would first start the car. I'd get to the office, the car would be parked for the usual 10 hour workday, and the problem would not happen again once I start the car again to go home.

The reason why I'm mentioning all these details is because how come this happens after the car is parked overnight but not again when the engine runs again after almost the same duration of parking during the course of the day? :-s

I haven't checked the connectors at the back of the unit because if the sound cuts off in the mornings, shouldn't it also cut off at night or when I pass over pot holes?

I would very much appreciate any help you can give me. Can anybody tell me if the problem seems to be one of the following:

A) My car, very much like me, hates my job and does not want to go to work?
B) My car is possessed?
C) The tiny lady who lives inside my navigation system and gives me all those directions is actually pulling a prank on me.
D) Some other technical problem that hopefully you can tell me?

I thank you all in advance for any help you can give me on this problem. I'm at my wits' end here :-k

Near as we can tell, Audi wanted to work up a photo shoot for its new A1 subcompact, so the company dialed up two members of the band Tokio Hotel, packed a warehouse with 22 pieces of classic iron and went to town. Yeah, we don't quite get it ourselves. There's a '50s drag-race flavor about the whole affair thanks to a tatted-up blonde bombshell playing flag girl, which only furthers our befuddlement.

At least the song isn't half bad.

It's true that the Audi A1 is a pretty cool piece of machinery. And, yes, we dig on pre-'60s hardware as much as the next auto-obsessed site, but the two aren't quite the same kind of awesome. Maybe Audi is looking to flex the customizable side of the A1, or maybe the ad department was just looking for an excuse to meet a couple of members of Tokio Hotel. Who knows? Hit the jump to try to solve this mystery for yourself.
A5 Oil Change...

OK, long story short. This is my first A6 3.2 oil change. I couldn't find a good A6 3.2 oil change DIY. But I found this for an A5

A5 Oil Change DIY Procedure - 3.2L Engine - AudiWorld Forums

Well, that forum said the drain plug required a hex wrench. I thought, hmm ok. I took off the first rock plate and bingo! there is a bolt with a hex head.

Well, I took out the plug and let it drain. Meanwhile I went up top to work on the filter. I put everything back together and put in 6 qts of oil.

When I looked at the dip stick it was literally dripping with oil. That was my first clue something was wrong. Then I lifted the oil container and it felt almost empty!

So, I ran back inside, search some more and found the CORRECT drain plug.

So, 2 questions.

1) At one point the engine had about 12 qts of oil but I only ran the engine for about a minute. I have since drained and replaced the correct amount of oil. Any harm done?

2) What did I drain the first time? Was it transmission? Regardless of what it was can I refill myself just to get to a service shop down the road to have it replaced correctly or should it be towed? BTW - the fluid that I drained was redish color and very little came out (less than 1 qt).

Any help is much appreciated.

RNS-E FW 260 question

I have read as many posts as I can to learn about video input for the RNS-E. I would like to confirm the following statement: U.S. V260 firmware eliminates all video inputs, Kufatec IMA/Alpine KCE 425i included.
In order to input video in some fashion I would need to downgrade my fw to version 200, and then the Kufatec unit would work?
I've seen posts where just using the the 30 pin iPod cable will somehow allow you to input audio and video from an iPod. I really don't understand because as I understand it the Aux input which I know is audio only does not work with v. 200 U.S.fw, and you need V.260, which allows Aux in but cuts off video input. Is that simple one cable method just for European software?
Sorry for going around in circles but I am very confused.
