I've bought a used Audi A8 cluster with part numbers:

SW: 4E0 910 901 A HW: 4E0 920 901 A

Been Googling, but can't seem to find out what exact engine it is for. Definitely a petrol engine based on the redline.

I want it to work with my 05 4.2L petrol and the tach's redline does match my original's exactly. Reason I want to change is that this cluster is in Km and has the nicer wide DIS display.

Can someone look up precisely what engine/model/year this cluster is valid for?

You will have to go to a dealer and remove "compenent protection" after swap...

How did you go with the swap. Was it straight forward? I drive A8 04 model and want to upgrade to the wider dis display of new A8 model. I live in the uk so the cluster ofcourse will come in miles but if it worked for you, i might as well give it a go because the wider dis is much more better and displays informations on a broader scale. Anyway hit me up with the outcome.
