Default Taillight issue

Since a few weeks I'm having some problems with my rear left taillight...
When I was driving during daytime, after 10 minutes the car gives an error on the rear left taillight. a few minutes later it gives an error on the fog light and a few minutes later on the rear left turn signal. Up till a few days ago, the issue could get solved by turning the car off and on again and after it started turning the lights on. If I was driving when it was dark, the error didn't occur at all.
Since monday, the error also occurs now even when the lights are turned on.

I'm struggling to find out what the issue is. The bulbs are working fine, so they aren't broken. I've even replaced some of the bulbs, but no luck...

I've also noticed that the left taillight seems to be burning less bright as the right one.

Can anyone help me please???

Perhaps this background info helps as well. I've retrofitted the RS6 headlights into my 2005 A6. So the central electronics module has been exchanged and the wires under the dash have been modified.

Since half a year I was having some moisture in that same taillight. I've removed the taillight and let it dry. after a few weeks the moisture was back. I've again removed the taillight and removed the black seal. instead of the seal I've put some silicone for all purposes on the light. When applying the silicone, I've noticed one of the fittings for the taillight was oxidated. Might this be one of the causes?

Hope someone can give me an answer soon. The taillight isn't a big issue, but without a turnsignal it's dangerous to drive on the road.

Many thanks in advance!

I had the same problem about 2 weeks ago. With the exact same symtoms.
If you remove the tail light and disconnect the plug, look at the electrical pins on the tail light. The ground wire will most lickly have some burning and corroision on it as mine did. I cleaned up the pins put it back together and its perfect now.

Thanks!

I've cleaned up the ground pin with nail polish remover and everything is fine for several weeks now! Hope it stays like this!
