Default Oil level problem

I'm at 5100 miles and due for my 5000 service. I just checked my oil level in the display and it showed nothing. I checked it again 5 minutes later, and it said "no oil level information available." The oil pressure is fine. Does this mean I likely have no oil, or does it rather mean the oil level sensor is broken? Where can I buy Audi approved oil (VW 520 0)?

You make me laugh, it means what it says: no oil level information available.

It does not mean "no oil", just no information. Try it little bit later.

If there will be no oil, there will be no oil pressure, red and yellow control lights will be shine and beep every seconds, etc.

This MMI oil level is just for info, it has no emergency function.

I have the same problem. Before I changed the oil it said no info and after it said no info in MMI...

In the owners manual it says wait for 2 minutes, but nothing happens.

Anyone?

I filled 3,5l with oil. Don't want to over fill it... Want to see the level before I refill some more...

Please always write what engine type do you have, mine 3.0TDI needs 6.5 l, so 3.5 l whould be too little...

Okey I figured it out. When you change the oil or refill the oil.
The "system" needs to calibrate it self. So you need to drive a distance of
50km give or take, then it will show you the correct level in MMI.

Then if you need to fill up some more, fill very little not more than 0.5l oil
at a time. Then you need to drive some more and the system shall calibrate.

End of story

PS. Back of your owners manual it says how many litre oil it needs, depending
the engine size. Normaly for A5 2.0 it's 4.6 litre . I filled 4 and it's okey.
