Thumbs up HELP! 2008 tt fbmfsw in a 2003 8l s3

I am currently attempting to fit the new style flat bottom steering wheel with multi function control to my 2003 8L s3.

so far i understand this is possible by attaching a a4 scsm part no: 8E0 953 549 R to the LIN bus parts of the A4 steering module, the CAN bus section and then tie these parts into the A3 CAN bus system and steering module.

would anyone know where i could find the a4 wiring schematics so i can figure out how to connect up the a4 steering coloumn electrics?
Any help or pointers will be very much appreciated.

yes this is possible as it is fitted and fully working in my 8L s3, it works perfectly with the rns-e and audi bluetooth module i have also retro- fitted. one major problem was the new steering wheel airbag is dual stage and the 8L operates on a single stage ignition. This i had to overcome by rewiring but i some times get a fault code for the steering wheel airbag of "low resistance". Apart from this everything else works perfectly.

Thank you very much for your reply. Tell me what I need? Do you have any diagrams? Airbag problem already solved.

Which module you used? I plugged the module from Audi A6 and Audi A3 8l (etka info), but it does not work correctly. Only the buttons are backlit as this module needs old steering wheel with a small built-in module in the steering wheel. Please tell me which module to connect and can you give me a pinout or scheme. thx

Hello, which A6 code did you use? I don't understand why it in your car doesn't work.
bye

I need the help.
trying to connect the module from the audi s3 8p to s3 8l. The rear plugg:
CAN Bus Low convenience
CAN Bus High convenience
Terminal 30 - red / yellow (+)
Terminal 31 - brown (ground)
still i've got 3 wires left:
black/white
black
red/balck - probably the ignition 12V

the front of the module I connected MFSW L-bus data and power to the steering wheel

Still not working. I hope that because the remaining 3 wires at the back.
Do I have to connect
CAN Bus High (drive train)???
CAN Bus Low (drive train)???
and where to connect the remaining 3 wires
does is it have a chance to work?
cheers

The CAN bus connections must be made to the Convenience CAN , definitely NOT to the Powertrain CAN.

Don't know about the other 3 wires - colours don't mean a lot because they can change from model year to model year, what pins are they connected to?
