i am an owner of an audi S3 8L 2004 model..
it has pre-installed the navigation system with the symphony II and i want to change it.which of the two should i choose? RNS-D or RNS-E? The Gps module is already installed..the only thing that is missing is a screen!!! |

There's at least one 8L S3 owner on here who has retrofitted an RNS-E - IMHO (having onwed both) a much better choice than an RNS-D.

I've just fitted an RNS-E to my 2001 A3 (which does not have CAN) You have got it easy as you already have CAN, Just buy a RNS-E for an A4, take of the chrome bottom, sand the sides a bit and stick it in, your old nav is not used! you'll need an antenne adapter and a new cable for the radio, all easy to find via Kufatec.. good luck!
